If you want to know what kind of Governor Pat McCrory would be, just look at what kind of President George Bush has been.
Pat McCrory supports President Bush’s failed economic policies including promoting Bush’s "jobs and economic growth plan."[1]
Pat McCrory and George Bush both support private school vouchers. McCrory said he “absolutely” supports vouchers during a Republican primary debate.[2]
McCrory supports Bush’s position on dirty air, including the “Clear Skies” Initiative. In a Bush administration press release Pat McCrory called for the passage of Bush’s “Clear Skies Act” in 2003. The Charlotte Observer said Bush initiatives "could undermine North Carolina's ability to enjoy cleaner air." McCrory has also refused to sign the Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement which commits cities to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.[3] [4]
The Real McStory:
· McCrory has repeatedly praised Bush and called him a "Great President."[5]
· McCrory Joined a “GOP Attack Squad” as a “Full-Throated Bush Backer” during the 2004 presidential campaign.[6]
· Bush returned the favor by coming to North Carolina to help raise Pat McCrory hundreds of thousands of dollars.[7]
